Iberia Parish, LA – Today, Iberia Parish celebrated a major milestone with the groundbreaking of the new fiber broadband projects awarded to Cajun Broadband. This initiative will bring high-speed internet access to businesses and homes in key areas of the parish.

Parish President M. Larry Richard, State Representative Jacob Landry, Thomas Tyler of Connect LA, and Cajun Broadband's managing directors Chris Disher and Jimmy Lewis spoke at the groundbreaking ceremony, emphasizing the transformative impact of this project. By providing reliable, high-speed internet, the parish aims to:

  • Boost Economic Development: Attract new businesses and industries to the area.

  • Enable Remote Work: Empower residents to work from home and connect with global opportunities.

  • Facilitate Remote Learning: Improve educational opportunities for students.
